    Show Us Your PROJECTS!

Got tired of ratchet strapping my cargo box down in my YJ, or trying to anyway. Just doesn't seem to work offroad and makes it a pain to open. I wanted the box in a very specific location, so I took some mounting hole measurements and quickly threw together something solid, but removable by...

RME official, "What's your Rig weigh," thread?

It's true, I always try to keep the weight and CG low on my jeep, it makes a huge performance difference on and off road and it's more enjoyable to drive.

    Show Us Your PROJECTS!

It seems like it's basically stopped growing, possibly from all the colder rainy weather :( I'll measure it again, maybe tomorrow.

Jeep should I wrap it or not?

Yeah it probably would but it's going in a wrangler, not a cherokee, so that might just be fixing a problem that doesn't exist. It's really not a big deal either way, I don't think I would bother though.

Jeep should I wrap it or not?

It won't stay shiny for long. I wouldn't wrap it though, that stuff gets nasty when it gets muddy and whatnot. It's not going to add any power. I'd leave it for the rat rods & ricers in magazines.

Wanted 15" aluminum wheel for spare!

I need an aluminum wheel for my spare, I would like it to kinda match my wheels in backspacing, I'm not sure what it is i'll have to measure it, probably around 5". 15", 5-on-4.5" (standard YJ etc). 8" wide I think.

    Thoughts on open carry?

I don't think you understood what I was saying. It seems like you're actually agreeing with what I said you just don't realize it lol government defines rights, stupid people vote, the government IS the vote of the people.... The bill of rights (I'm not familiar with the Bill of Privileges)...

    Thoughts on open carry?

and if that was a thing (which its obviously not because its a ridiculous analogy) it would be dealt with through legislation if necessary. If they were assembling in a way that actually did impede traffic or cause actual danger to motorists then the situation would obviously be taken care of by...

    Thoughts on open carry?

The right to or the ability to? My point is you can still be put in jail by man or forced to do things, justified or not... If your free agency has been taken from you, you may be 'right' but that hasn't really served you well (in this life anyway). Ultimately rights are just an idea agreed upon...

    Thoughts on open carry?

A "right" is just what the government wants to define as one, nothing more... And evidently there are a lot of stupid people in this country who vote.

    How would you paint this?

The holes are fine if you make strategically placed drain holes too.

    How would you paint this?

Stick a spray paint can's nozzle in the holes and press it from the other side, and spin the can. lol it's just a control arm... the inside of a control arm. It's going to fill with mud and water anyways so who cares if you get paint runs. Don't forget to drill drain holes either. you could...

    How would you paint this?

Blend the welds off with a fiber sanding disc for your angle grinder and it'll clean up nicely. Just don't take the whole weld off.
