    Fees at five mile pass

When Nu Skin started improving Pole Canyon (offshoot from Santaquin Canyon) and built their cabin, their propane tank got shot. With tracer rounds. On two different occasions. Burned that sucker down. I hope the FS can stop the cabins on the Mona-Pole road. Tracer rounds are hard on the barrel.

Well, let me know when you are headed to the dealer, 'cause they won't give you crap for trade in value on your cherokee. I'd be willing to make you a much better deal:D

    DIY How-to: HD differential cover

The real question is: Is it bulletproof? Thanks for the tech. Now I will have to build one with an old M715 cover someone gave me^^^^^

    BMX badass critically injured

I work with Mike's uncle. He didn't come into work yesterday, now I guess I now why. That really sucks. Makes me remember why I sold my BMX bike. My kids will appreciate the fact I'm still around.

best place to buy an optima

My friends red top Optima in his CJ5 lasted for ten years and he has a winch. I know a farmer that chucked a pitchfork through his red top (I don't know why) and it lasted for a few more years. I bounced my red top out of the battery tray and onto the exhaust manifold. It burned though all...

    CV slipyoke shafts???/

Too bad I didn't know that Tuesday or I would have hand delivered it. Let me know when you'll be around 'cause my next trip to Tooele might be in another seven years.

    Ballistic Fab any better now?

I noticed Ballistic Fabrications is now touting "laser cut" brackets that are bent on a CNC press brake. Some of you have not had good experiences with Ballistic, but it looked like it was due to crappy plasma cutting. Do you think their new laser cut stuff will be any better, or should I...

    crossover steering and heims?

UHP is cracking down pretty hard on safety inspectors for passing stuff that shouldn't. The UHP tends to notice stuff that is very visible like I Lean said. Mudflaps, nine feet of lift, flares-- things they can see from a distance. They give you a fix it ticket, but then slap the safety...

    Six month Desert truck report

I have truck envy. That looks pretty darn cool. Couldn't tell from the pics, do you have bypass shocks on the front too? What rear leaves are you using?

    CV slipyoke shafts???/

I have a rear driveshaft from a early full size bronco with a CV joint. Was bolted to a 205. I want to say it has 1330 joints? It's yours if you want it.

    Fees at five mile pass

I prefer things not to be improved. I think they should be left unimproved. The Mona-Pole road that runs from Mona up to the Nebo loop road used to be a very beautiful, secluded drive. It was not traveled often, since it would take a very skilled driver to get a stock 4x4 up there, so it made...

    Blue Beast: budget Chevy build

I was told both the 31 spline Ford and 32 Spline Chevy input shafts used a bigger bearing than the 10 spline cases like I have. That's what I got from ORD anyway.

    Blue Beast: budget Chevy build

Yeah, Mesha is a real dirt bag. I'm sure he knew the whole time that 205 wasn't going to work for me :p No, don't worry about it Mesha. I have some plans to make it work (BFH) either that or Colledge Machine said they could machine the case out for $150. My uncle has a divorced Ford...

    King of the Snakes

You have an excellent point. There is a lot of stuff that goes into running an event. I guess I will have to get my racing fix watching KOH, until I can save up $575 and finish building my junk (another $20k!?) Thanks for bringing me back to reality. Sometimes I can type faster than I can think.

    Blue Beast: budget Chevy build

I might take one of you up on that. I need to look into the cost of machining my case vs. just finding a 32 spline Chevy case

    King of the Snakes

Yeah, you're probably right. It was just the first thing that came to mind and they are relatively close to a lot of us. Beats 12 hours to Johnson Valley or even 4 or 5 to Moab. Throw out some more trails and we can do King of where-hell-ever.

    Blue Beast: budget Chevy build

I am actually wanting to keep my TH350, so my wife can drive it. :D I already have an NP203 behind that and I am wanting to build a doubler with the 205. A doubler (at least all the kits I've seen) requires either a 31 spline Ford input or a 32 spline Chevy input both of which require a big...

    King of the Snakes

So, I've been watching King of the Hammers video clips all night and I have determined that I will be making the pilgrimage to Johnson Valley in February. Desert racing, rock racing and rock crawling all in one event...that's just too cool. That got me thinking that we need to have our own...

    Blue Beast: budget Chevy build

I got me a 2WD steering box for $35, so I'm one step closer to crossover steering. I also picked up a SM465/NP205 combo from Mesha. The transmission doesn't look too good since it sat in the weather for a while with no shift lever in it, but the 205 is good. The guy at the local wrecking...

    B.a.m.f.

Those pedals are killer. Did you use a baby dimple die on the holes? One other question: when you welded you axle center sections to the tubes, what rod did you use?
