    Another buggy project

I know he didn't sell it. I just wanted to give him crap about sodomizing his yard.

    Another buggy project

That's too bad. He should have hydro-seeded. Sodomizing the yard costs way too much. I don't like grass that much anyway.

    Bucking Buggy Attempt #1

I worked at a Ford dealer for a long time. PATS is very frustrating sometimes, even when you have all the right tools. Glad you got her running.

    Bucking Buggy Attempt #1

I would say wife trouble, if I had to guess. It's killed a more than a few of my projects. Are those bars on your garage window? Are they to keep things in or out?

    chevy tbi conversion problems

Get a volt meter on that and apply vacuum to the port and see if the resistance changes. A map sensor has a lot to do with how much fuel the engine gets, but I don't think I've ever seen one make an engine die and not restart. If it has a stock GM fuel pump, check that first 'cause they suck...

    Multi Layer Steel Head Gaskets

In a vehicle that has known head gasket problems, I would get the best gaskets I could, especially when it comes to aluminum heads on an iron block. That's the best way to keep up with the different expansion rates of the two metals. I also had a mechanic I knew recommend pulling the block out...

    Blue Beast: budget Chevy build

The more I mess with this truck, the more I laugh and get scared too. I felt like it was a little too tall, so I was swapping out the 6" springs for some four inchers I bummed off CubanB and the drivers front pack literally exploded when I took the weight off it. It didn't have a center pin...

    Blue Beast: budget Chevy build

This has to a budget buildup, because I can't spend any money I earn at my job on wheeling, that's what the wife says, anyway. I have to resort to scrapping steel and aluminum cans for $, although I've heard you get decent money for donating plasma. Maybe I will have start selling bodily...

    Blue Beast: budget Chevy build

So, I had a HPD60 that I wanted to put under my F250LD, but I decided I would keep my tow rig unmolested, so I sold the axle to a guy in CO for a grand. That was a Saturday afternoon and I can't hold onto that much money for long, so I had it spent by Monday evening. This is what I got...

    Ultimate Taco-ish fenders

Go to Hendersons in Orem. They have all sorts of steel trailer fenders. My friend split a couple in half and made some pretty decent looking fender extensions for his CJ5. They actually looked pretty nice after some matching paint.

    How bad is it ?

My bosses exhaust was touching the tranny pan on his turbo 400. That lasted a couple months before the tranny died. Engines are generally more expensive than trannies. Don't risk it. Heat Kills.

    Creaseys offroad

I am pretty sure I bought the coilovers RockMonkey was talking about in the other thread. I didn't get a bad deal pricewise, but they were all shorter than what he said they were. Short enough I can't use them. When I talked to him he said he was headed for St. George to start a new shop...

    Ever wonder?

I won't brag about anything I've done until at least five non-redneck people have said I did a good job.

    Jeep Cheap Cherokee Build

If you axle had not already had the C bushing wedges on it, would you have still used C bushings? Or would you have built some other sort of method for attaching your radius arms? Which, by the way, look really good. I have radius arm envy.

    Cng?

Ford used to do a ton of factory conversions, but they have quit in recent years. Not sure why. One customer was really mad when he couldn't get a factory CNG V10 in his superduty. The aftermarket quoted him close to 10K for the conversion using the same parts as Ford did. A lot of Rocky...

    Toyota mechanics/owners a little help-advice please!

I did Utah County I/M inspections for a while. The machines aren't fancy enough to decode the VIN, so nobody will know that it was supposed to have a V6 in it. I think the four cylinder was a factory option on the 89's, so if you find a stupid inspector that is in a hurry, he may not notice it...

    Dana 60 high steer ?'s

I heard the springless kind have a tendency to break the plastic stuff in the top since there is no give. And they are more expensive. The spring and cap kind can cause the vehicle to wander on the road, especially when big tires are involved, but that may be a moot point for your application...

    Stupid Dana 60 Questions

Big thanks to Tacoma for reminding me about the D60 bible on Pirate. I just answered all my own questions. Only the 76-79 Ford D60s had 1/2 studs, the rest up to the Superduty's were all 9/16. I guess they must be a different pitch than the 14 bolt, or the threads were buggered up when I...

    Stupid Dana 60 Questions

I have a HP D60 from an 88 F350 and I have a few questions about it. 1988 and down have 1/2 lug studs right? Because the lug nuts from my late 70's 14 bolt don't fit and I thought those were 9/16. (I am stuck at work, so I can't measure right now) Has anyone had problems with the 1/2 studs...
