Cell phones? Need a new one

I actually don't have a wireless charging dock although I'll probably get one for convenience. The battery along with new hardware on the X makes it last 2 days for me, but I have lower than normal usage. There aren't any new features business wise that are that cool. I do like face id better...

Cell phones? Need a new one

I didn't know it, but I guess the iPhone 8 also supports wireless charging.

Cell phones? Need a new one

Being an iPhone guy, I'll just throw this out since I didn't see anyone else suggest it: Just get the iPhone X with cordless charging dock.

    I have replaced 4 O'Reilly Alternators in 3 weeks

^^This. You won't save money, but you will end up with a good product. I've used A&E Generator in the past with good results, but it looks like they are combined with Henstrom sometime in the last 10 years.

    Best Slot Canyons???

Buckskin is my favorite of all time - especially if you want to go without ropes. I've hiked it all the way out to the Colorado. I probably wouldn't do that again just because it is kind of a slog and isn't nearly as much of a slot a few miles below the confluence of Buckskin and Paria.

    Trailer Tires for 7k Axles

So after research, I'm looking seriously at the 17.5s. I'm also considering a third option: converting to 19.5 wheels and running commercial load range G tires, probably sailuns. Looks like I can do that for within a hundred bucks of the 17.5 option. The tires would be about an inch taller...

    Trailer Tires for 7k Axles

Pulled a wheel last night and they are already rated for 110 psi. I’ve heard good things about the sailun tires, so i think it’s going to be sailun g rated 16” or h rated 17.5.

    Trailer Tires for 7k Axles

Yea, All my research seems to indicate that if you want to solve the problem permanently, the 17.5s are the sure way to do it. It makes sense since that is what the pros use and they wouldn't put up with blowouts every few thousand miles. I'd just have to cough up at least $1250 to do this...

    Trailer Tires for 7k Axles

I checked out the Maxxis. They do make one 16" 8008 tire that is close to my rating at 3400 lb.

    Trailer Tires for 7k Axles

The 238/80R16 I have is a trailer specific tire. I haven't found a truck tire in that size that is rated for 3500 lbs.

    Trailer Tires for 7k Axles

So we bought a new fifth wheel trailer last year and it is on the heavier side: 16.5k gvwr and 13.5k actual weight. It has dual 7k axles on it with load range E 16" tires. They are carrying about 6k on each axle. Anyway, we towed it to Colorado Springs and St George last year without any...

    Grrrrrr....

Frankly, unless I've got an item listed that is obviously going to move fast, i'd rather have any kind of offer than just time wasted. I usually say: "If it has been listed a week or two and I don't have a better offer, I might consider it." Stuff is worth whatever someone is willing to pay...

    Gear / Accessories DIY Powertank

co2 is stored as a liquid when compressed and evaporates as you use it to maintain ~700 psi. The only way I know of to check the contents is to weigh it.

I don't have a Powertank, but another vote for Universal Cylinder for general CO2/tank use.

    Non-ratcheting six ton jack stand

I know the feeling - I have one at home that is bending and getting ready to break. I'll try to get a pic of it to share, but it looks like it was from a weight (within the rating) resting on one of the flanges on the end instead of on the center of the post.

    Rubicon trail family trip advice?....

I did it several years ago with small kids. It was a fun campout, although a bit crowded. When you say 2 days, we did it in two nights, so like 2.5 days. We drove our rig there, so we didn't have to shuttle to a trailer. That would take significant time if that is part of your mode of...

    The Ham Radio Thread

I don't know why length would matter. If you are connecting it to a mac, though, I've had way better luck with the cables that have the FTDI chip than the Prolific or Prolific clones. Read that as I could never get the Prolific cable to connect, where the FTDI was plug and play. My experience...
