I agree making them independent is likely for weight shift, not uneven loading. Back to the semi-truck, left and right are connected when airing up or down, but independent when at pressure - I'm assuming for this reason.

I'm going to be adding them to my 3500 with independent left and right. The freightliner and semi trailer air suspensions are definitely independent side-to-side.

I'd say it has to be the battery. I would think a new battery would take pretty much any abuse short of a dead short without going dead that fast.

Are you sure the battery is discharged? It could be a bad connection

My first thought was something wrong with the main bearings - worn or wrong size to start with. Checking the plugs is a great idea, though.

Pretty sure elf over at streamline industries said it can be turned down by updating the computer's settings. He recommended that rather than turning it completely off.
