My son and I went on this ride in May but the wind was terrible and we want to go back. I know there is another thread for this trip but because of our date restrictions I am starting second but hopefully we can all get together. We are planning at least 2 nights on the trail so we have time...

I havn't seen any updates about this outing lately. My son and I went on this ride in May but the wind was terrible, We would be interested in joining the group and doing it again but the only dates in October we have open are the 8th thru the 12th.

The plan to meet at the airport is fine with me. My best guess is that it will be about 10:00 when we get there. It is said to be a good place to get gas before we hit the trail head. See you in the morning.

I would say split first, it will be compact to stack in the jeep.

I was thinking of bringing a couple of bundles but if you wanted to bring some we can try to carry enough for a small fire each night.

In planning for this trip I propose that we all meet Friday morning 5/21/10 at the Bullfrog Ferry. With the Ferry leaving a 9:00 am and 11:00 am, I would like to do the 9:00 crossing. I am open to other suggestions if someone has some so please speak up so we can get this firmed up.

I think we need to leave Salt Lake very early Friday the 21st so we can find a camp spot that is about half way into the trail. Saturday would be spent going to the trail end some exploring and back out to possibly the same camp spot as Friday night. Sunday would be for the rest of the trail...
