    My son and I are thinking of going down from Cenrerville, most likely Thursday after work. I have a JK on 35's so Pritchett is out (I am not looking for another insurance claim), would like to do Golden Spike, the Rim and what ever else fit in. Where is everyone staying?

    It is good to know that this path is still open, I may have to plan a trip in the near future. This is one of my all time favorites, I wish I could come along.

    We would have gone in through Oil Well flats, over fix-it pass to the North fork of the Coal wash and out the Devil's Racetrack. Is this an open trail? What about Eagle Canyon?

    I haven’t been in the San Rafael area and on that trail for more than 20 years, it was an annual trip every Memorial Day weekend for years. I thought it was in the Wilderness Study Area now, not true?

    Rubicon's mostly manual?

    I just purchased a new Rubicon 6 speed for a couple of reasons. The manuals have a lower first gear, thus a lower crawl ratio. My 03 Rubicon was a manual and never let me down, I have seen auto's loose line pressure on steep inclines and just stop.
