ahhhhh, wish I had a D60 :( . I have a trailer so it won't be driving anywhere, especially not on freeway.

    YJ springover steering?

Do you have a bender Spence? I'm thinking of just cutting the stock peice and welding in an insert after some bends. That would only be a peice of pipe and some flat stock to gusset it with. I know this is super gheto fab but I won't put more than ten miles on it. I just need something so I...

    YJ springover steering?

Yeah, please do. I'm a little confused by the description. I'm not going to wheel my jeep like this any more than maybe rattlesnake a few times or little moad so it doesn't need to be permanent or super duty.

    YJ springover steering?

What should I do to my steering when I spring the YJ over? I'm not going to keep these axles more than a few months so I don't really want to go buy a crossover knuckle. I've heard of guys doing a z bend link and I'm wondering how well those work.

What's the best way to lengthen a YJ's wheelbase?

That does seem to make sense. Maybe I'll go without the srs at first unless I absolutely need more clearance.

What's the best way to lengthen a YJ's wheelbase?

I have a fuel cell, so the tank can go. But I probalby won't link it for a few years, it's a money issue.

What's the best way to lengthen a YJ's wheelbase?

Probably because the vehicle was designed with simplicity and driveability in mind, not four wheeling.

What's the best way to lengthen a YJ's wheelbase?

Eventually I'll link it and do air shocks but to get it going now I'm going to stick with leafs. Considering how flat a waggy spring in a soa axle setup is I'd say the axle isn't going to be traveling back very far. I guess it depends on how arched your spring is. If the spring is...

What's the best way to lengthen a YJ's wheelbase?

Hmmmmm.....SRS? Not sure what that one means. Let me do a search. So, looks like a shackle reversal in the front? That was already in the plans. Then I want waggy axles? I guess they're offset? Sounds like I want fronts for both rear and front of the YJ? Mark, so you're running XJ...

    Rigs?

84 Cherokee, "cherry black" (looks more like dark brown). 3.4L MPFI chevy V6, used to be lifted six inches but it's probably closer to four now. 33" BFG muds, lock-crappy in the rear. 95 YJ, 4" lift, that's pretty much it, haven't even started on it yet. Here's both.

    In case anyone was wondering-

I'm amazed that on such a difficult trail back as far as it gets there's still junk. Mudflap, aerosol can, plastic bag, I couldn't pick anything up because I was on a bike but it would have gone in the back of my jeep if I'd had it there. Maybe we should cut up the torn down trees up by the...

What's the best way to lengthen a YJ's wheelbase?

I'm looking to find what length I want to go to and what's the best way to do it. Streetability isn't an issue and moderately tough wheeling is what's in mind. Mostly Moab and Rubicon stuff is what I'll be doing and I'll be on 37's. Give me any thoughts you've got.

It's a bad idea to ride your dirt bike down constrictor in the mud. Trail looked good though. Maybe it's time for some kind of trail cleanup down there.
