General Tech dana 44 disk conversion

The outer parts came off of a 77 and 78. The 77 was a half ton and the 78 was a 3/4 ton 8 lug. I'll have to round them up. Some may be here at my house and some at my son in laws. Hopefully he didn't chuck any of them.

General Tech dana 44 disk conversion

I'm not 100% sure on the Dodge axle but I have mixed lots of Chevy, Jeep and Ford parts on the Dana 44 axles we have. We typically use the GM small spindle and steering knuckles, Ford rotors and hubs, and GM/Jeep disc calipers and brackets. The Ford steering knuckles are different than the GM...

Wanted late 70's mid 80's GM 6 bolt outers

I tossed a bunch out last year but still have one brand new 6 lug hub and rotor and a bunch of spindles. The spindles come in two versions, the large bearing type and the small bearing type. I have lots of the large bearing type. If you switch from 6 lug to 5 lug you use Ford Hubs and rotors...

    Any plumbers out there

Swapping the old for the same style won't be much of an issue. The issue I have is which brand to choose. I have even asked several plumbers I know and they all say different brands and some say stay away from the big box store brands. Which rig did you see me in ? I have been running around...

    Any plumbers out there

I know that the tankless takes a larger gas line and a fair amount of re-plumbing so I would have to see how much work it would be.

    Any plumbers out there

I have finally run out of luck on my 31 year old water heater. It has started to leak. I have been looking into what replacement would be best and all of the main manufacturers have those that like them and lots that hate them. None off the new ones will last as long as the one I have even...

    Control arms

From what I have seen on ours the clunking comes from the flex joint loosening up. They aren't worn out and can usually be fixed by tightening them up (if the joint allows tightening). The Rubicon Express lifts we had in the past had the rubber end at the frame. I have also had clunks when the...

    Control arms

All of our rigs have the flex end at the axle and the rubber/poly end at the frame. It gives you a lot less clunking.

    Male breast cancer

My wife had nothing in her lymph nodes and she's on a six cycle chemo treatment. I wish you the best and I hope they get it all. Did they do the tests for the genetic markers and the HER2 protein ? I know that changes the chemo and antibody regimen for women.

    Male breast cancer

Good luck with this. I have a co-worker that also got male breast cancer that they figure was caused by the Nevada nuclear tests. He grew up in south west Utah and male breast cancer was one of the down winder symptoms. My wife is also fighting the same thing, she is about 1/3 of the way through...

    Jeep No start condition.

Most manual transmission rigs have the equivalent of the neutral safety switch, there is a switch that won't let it start unless the clutch is pushed in.

Topic of Discussion Cleaning up after target shooting.

A few years back during public lands day I went out just past 5 mile to a hill many people shoot at and came back with a trailer full of shot up stuff. Greg had to come looking for me because I was late getting back. Filled up a good portion of the dumpster.

    Guess i'm a sheep...

On my WJ it was one of flapper the control motors that broke which is an easy fix. It is now not warming up well so I will have to check everything again. The system calibrates the flappers by running the flapper up to the stop point and that is usually when they break.
