    Free UTV Tires, truck wheels

I have a couple used stockers from my Maverick. They are Maxxis Bighorn 2.0, 27x11R12, probably 45% tread. Also have five black steelies, D-hole style, 16x8, 8 on 6.5", 5" backspacing Located in Ogden near Weber State.

    Providence Canyon trail status

Roger that, keep me posted. Saturday is looking clear so far. TONS of need-to-do's, but no have-to-do's.

Free or nearly free steel 15x6, 5 on 4.5" plain Jane Jeep wheels

I'd be happy to correct you! :) More backspacing puts the wheels further under the fender. The easy way to remember is that more backspacing = more space in the back of the wheel.

Free or nearly free steel 15x6, 5 on 4.5" plain Jane Jeep wheels

I've got a car hauler with wider than usual axles, so normal trailer rims stick out past the fenders. I'm looking for some stock Jeep wheels from a TJ/YJ/XJ with the 5 on 4.5" pattern. There may be some other stuff such as Ford Explorer which would work, but I think those have less...

Why would you buy one of those orange money pits?

This is where I was intuitively heading, minus the WD-40. Thanks, everybody, for the comments. Jared

    Chain maintenance

So, I've got to confess I'm bad at chains. I usually buy the sticky aerosol lube and spray them down on the outside edge before a ride. I know you're supposed to do the inside edge, but when I spray the outside it gets all over the chains and sprockets anyway. Then I spray them off from a...

RME Winter trip to the San Rafael Swell

Thanks for the direction. I can do reasonably difficult stuff in the truck - for example we did Klondike Bluffs all the way into the park last fall including the nasty tight drop into the sandy valley at the end. I was not comfortable doing it, and scraped the skidplates a bunch of times. So...

RME Winter trip to the San Rafael Swell

Any idea on when this trip might be? I've never been to the swell. If a crew cab/short bed 2012 F150 can make it (rear locker, BFG AT's) can make it without damage, I get free gas. Jared

    Report: Little Sahara Sand Dunes

I don't know what you're driving, but a few modern truck models can have the traction control system fuse pulled. If you want to get fancy, run a switch to hot side of that fuse. In my 2012 F150, pulling the fuse also disables the t-case shift motor, so a switch is pretty handy. Jared

    Report: Little Sahara Sand Dunes

Yes! NAXJA used to do this annually and, while I couldn't make it this year, I found it to be one of our best runs. Jared

    Full width locked axles

It's a passenger drop low-pinion, I just noticed it listed on KSL. http://www.ksl.com/classifieds/listing/43179600

Central Utah RME Trip; Little Sahara Sand Dunes... February?

You can also just use a bright piece of material taped to the end of your CB antenna. Six States sells some perfect stuff that truckers use on loads that extend past the back of a trailer.

    Pallets

I've got 15+ pallets at work that I need to be rid of. They're all used, and were in good enough condition to receive the goods we received. I just had back surgery, so you'd need to load them up yourself on site. They're in Woods Cross around 1350 S & 500 W. Shoot me a text at...

    Recommendation for broken cases

Depends on what you need the bike to be. Race bike? Replace it. Kids trail bike? Silicone it inside and JB Weld it outside.

    The upcoming moto ride/quick report.

Sounds like an awesome time. I need to get my idle and voltage issues figured so I can make some of these trips. Jared
