hey rusted.. try this.. disconect the plug on the master cyl flot lid.. that was my problem the flot was shorting ot in the well of the fluid.. it would come on very dim then it would go off and then it would be bright .. but since I unpluged it everything works good.. I have to et a new cap...

I would have replaced the rear main seal anyway .. I had a friend put one in abd it went bad.. when he started it it pored out so fast it was crazy.. I spent a full day and replaced it and this time it didnt leak..

also check the oil filter.. there is a thing like a adapter that is there.. there is a bolt in the center and it holds the oil filter assy in .. there is an o ring there that leaks

yep.. wrong spaceing on the flywheel.. measure the distance from the flywheel and then measure the starter.. you might find out the starter is too short.. I also believe there was 2 starters for the ford.. a long and a short .. you might need the long one mike
