General Tech What did you work on Today?

I made me some table covers for the mill so i don't beat up the table from putting tools on it and to keep those damn chips out of the t slots. Here is my old 13" South Bend lathe. Its from 1953 and was originally bought from South Bend by Salt Lake Hardware. You've seen the chip pan i made...

Ford Brian's bronco 2 gets wontons and dddd

The ones welded to his front of his doors was suppose to be the sides for the spare fuel jug but they were the wrong size so i welded them on against his better judgment lol. I may cut out some My little ponys for it also against his better judgment.

I like the tight tucked bumper. Its nice to see new fab and welding on newer rigs. Anymore it seams like everything anyone puts on a new rig is just bolted on. Im excited to get the ladys 4 runner going after koh.

Ford Brian's bronco 2 gets wontons and dddd

Bumpity. Typical last minute pimp out of the bronco. He wheeled the shit out of it all spring and summer. Some time in the spring he broke his tranny mount and we repaired it and made a little skid plate. Then in the summer we was crawling it hard and then hauling ass on a dirt road right after...

Got the shop spic and span. It was pretty tore up doing all that work. I started fitting the tool box today. I will be hanging in a 1" frame that will hinge upward once the two rear bolts are taken out so i can change out the propane tanks which doesn't happen often unless we are out of town on...

This is the first time any one has really worked on any of my buggys. Ive always had company over or been helped lifting or fitting things but never had anyone do their own jobs on my buggys. Breaks my heart. They was stripping off the old washers i had welded on for body panels in...

Ive already had this same light on the old cage for a year now and its not too bad. They really suck if you have a windshield with the slightest amount of dust on it. It is getting new light blue plastic body panels and i was planning on painting the hood black since i dont want to try and match...

Thank you. I believe knowledge is borrowed, rarely are my ideas original. I have a really old 5' apron brake outside the shop. Its a pretty light duty brake hence the Gutter not being as good as it could be.

Ight y'all is caught up. This is how i spent my Christmas break. :usa: It pays to know people. I r sad we couldn't find a "road closed" or "bumpy road" sign, this was the most offroady thing we found. I had to anneal the aluminum on the edge to get a tight bend for the little "rain...

New top is 1.5" .120" wall dom with some 1.25" .120 wall as double a pillars and intrusion bars. I slugged the a and b bends together and ran a full length slug inside the roof bar since thats where my last cage bent after a direct tip over to a rock, you can see the plug welds for the slug. The...

Cory pimps out his two seat buggy.

Its been used and abused and its never really given me any problems in the 6-7 yeas since i built it so i thought it was time to put a little love into it. The plan right now is, new front drive line assembly (carrier included), new exhaust, new seats, new top roll cage, new light bar, wider...

Topic of Discussion CO2 Bottle Size for airing up tires.

I use nitrogen since we use it alot to fill up shocks around here. It cost the same and you get the same psi per tank but i guess you get more out of co2. I like the nitrogen because it leaks out of my beadlocks more slowly and isnt as susceptible to temperature.

I dont know how any one missed it but my alignment has been off for years now. I must have aligned it when i had the old knuckles on it and it never got checked or noticed when we installed the solid knuckles. I have been wondering why my tires have been wearing quick, I just figured it was from...

Got the trans back in. 2 gear sprag was in a couple of pieces. Im surprised it still worked as good as it did with as many metal pieces that was in there. We went ahead and put a high dollar element sprag in there from tci, machined the piston down smore to stuff six 1st gear clutch in there now...
