I typically scatter my fires and ashes pretty well unless I'm in a well defined spot that sees high traffic. That campfire in a can is only 15" across. that's not a very big campfire.

I've always done it on the far left, and remarkably never had a problem in any of the 3 ZJ's I've taken up (one open in front). Maybe 107" WB is just the right number. Last I did it was in June, so it may be deeper now.
