My guess is somewhere down near Dark Canyon, but I'm not sure exactly where.

That's about my take as well. I've been in a couple of places--an abandoned house in Vernal where some suicide had occurred (or so I was told) being the most memorable--where I was just overcome with a sense of "get the **** out of here right now!".
