    Interesting idea for EJS 2007

guarantee the restaurants, gas stations, businesses, etc, dont mind the ejs because of the revenue it brings each year. I have been down three times, and never left trash, never went off trail, never broke the rules in any way. Just because one asshole out of 500 leaves a can on a trail...

    Best TJ Long Arm kit?

anybody on the forum a vendor for rockkrawler? I'm looking to get the 5.5 for a 04 dodge ram i'm about to buy. Just trying to get it a lil cheaper than what their website demands :) To make this relevant to the year old thread.... i still like the nth degree LA for tj's... but for the money...

Is a Slip Yoke the only way?

I bought my advance adapters SYE and tw HD CVshaft from 4x4 groupbuy 2 years ago for 550 total. I think its one of the stronger sye kits made.

    Best Cherokee Mods

put on 35's. The rear and front should hold up fine. With 6 inches you could be running 37's with right trimming and bumpstopping. Yes doing a custom rollcage would be a good idea. I would also look into a winch, try to just get a used one. Just get the proper skids and there wont be much...

    D35 vs. D44

all i know about the 8.25 is that i ran 33's on it for 1.5 years and 35's for half a year and didn't have any issues at all. I beat down on that axle and drove it hard. If you are an xj owner, its a huge upgrade over the 35... and obviously for a tj it wouldn't be cost effective at all to...

    D35 vs. D44

If you dont ever plan goin bigger than 37's... you could run a ford 8.8 out of an 96+ explorer. That way you'd get discbrakes as well, which is something very useful with bigger tires. Plenty of people on the other forums run a stock 8.8 with 4.88's locked on 37's with no issues. They are 31...

    Metal Masher...

we went up metalmasher last ejs.. and the only obstacle i didn't try was widowmaker, i hadn't heard about motherinlaw until just 5 minutes ago. There was one other thing that i bypassed, it was incredibly steep, and maybe this is the obstacle you are all talking about. I just know that if i...

37's aren't the best for a daily driver :). Still cut the fenders and buy bushwackers... i coulda cleared 37's with the 6 inch lift i was running Behind my parents house Buddies xj on metalmasher AF canyon on july4

TeraFlex long arm upgrade for XJ's

Those new arms look pretty beefy... i had the 2nd gen teraflex arms and I never had any complaints. i was running 6.5 inches of lift and 35's. Plenty of flex for me... any more and i'd start to need limiting straps to hold the coil in.

    Death Wobble. YJ......

If you do get them balanced get them done with the static balance. I work at a shop, and tried dynamic (weights on both sides) numerous times with no luck. Once i tried static (weight just on inside) it rode completely smooth. This rang true with my 33" xterrains and my 35" trxus mt's.

    New H3

my friend ran hells revenge in a yj with a 2 in shackle lift and 30 inch tires... hells revenge isn't hard if you take all the bypasses :) now if you actually hit all the obstacles.. then my hat is off to you

    New H3

it uses the 3.5l engine... and comes with a 5 spd manual tranny. The 4.1 case is an option in the "Offroad package" which also includes 33" tires and rear locker comes standard. All that still equals GAY and Incapable IMO. :) Tax writeoff is definitely the focus of all the new hummers :)

    Laws

i work at a big o tires... and honestly as long as you've got most of the tire covered with flares and flaps you will get passed. Some places are way more into inspection than others, but i've never once seen my mechanic at my shop pull out the tape measure to measure the frame clearance.

    xterrains vs. MTR's???

The xterrains are a touchy tire and will definitely wear bad if you're alignment is off even a little.. and if you fail to rotate them often. Like i said before i had them for over 40k miles with tread to spare and my tires wore completely even. They did get hella loud near the end of the...

    xterrains vs. MTR's???

i got 42k miles outa mine and they still had at least a few more thousand miles left on them... If you dont rotate them then i can see how they could wear bad...

    xterrains vs. MTR's???

Yeah my xterrains i had did suck in the mud and snow.. but ruled on the rocks. Even when they were close to the end of their life at EJS this year.. they still gripped like crazy on everything. If you are looking for a good streetworthy tough tire... the Trxus MT's are a good choice IMO...
