I've been fan of BFG's for decades, but I did put toyo AT3's on my FJ80 and like them a lot. No complaints, no ragrets. :cool:

I'm biased and in my world, the ONLY limited slip that exists is the Detroit TrueTrac. If that isn't in the plan, I'd just toss an open diff in it and run it. Just my $.02

Because of RME.... I've been able to meet and become friends with similar (mechanically minded) people. Aside from just being great friends... hanging out with RME members has brought about a lot of mechanical & tech talk (which along with the tech posted on this site) has helped me progress...

It can’t be this straightforward to get ~700hp… can it? 😳 I would be VERY interested in learning more and seeing this progress. Sounds fun.

Greg, when I had my big buggy, I built my own return to center function and it was a nice novelty to have but I found it to be unnecessary in the real world. If the rear is turned much, you can easily feel it and manually adjust. If its turned just a tiny bit, you really don't even notice...

And yet, the gov still allows the sale of tobacco... I guess the BVO lobbyists aren't lining the right pockets in Washington. :rofl:

I went down a few years ago as part of a support crew / chase truck. It was SUCH an incredible experience and I need to go again. I echo what @bryson and other have said about finding a spot away from the large groups and just... chilling... Tacos & beverages & trophy trucks.... pretty hard...

We were there 3 weeks ago Greg. The colors have really come out since then. They were just starting to turn while we were there. Truly one of my favorite parts of the country.

This is the answer and the path I'll be going with my FJ80. It's already insured via Haggerty.
