Jeep Speed Goat TJ, the anti-build thread

Incorrect, PWM is not exclusive to brushed motors or to motors only for that matter. It is used in lighting and other applications as well. @UPNO4 post only 2 above your post is an example of a brushless controller WITH PWM. Pulse Width Modulation is a way to vary the amount of time voltage is...

Fire Extinguishers; The Good, Bad & the Ugly

Would mounting the extinguishers horizontally rather than vertically help with the packing of the agent? I would think the cylinder sideways would be better than as the cylinder upright? Does anyone have suggestions for a way to secure them to prevent dirtbags from stealing your expensive...

    Midget build?

I've seen wheel barrows used too. @1969honda I think we're better off using the sheet metal and brake, especially where the space is so tight. Looking forward to to trying out the bead roller, dimple dies and clecos to see how it goes...

    Midget build?

I need to get out there and see that little beast! Is Polly ready to drive that? It's going to be a pretty big shift from the Escalade!

For Sale 2004 GMC Yukon Denali XL

I would be interested in the shell if whoever bought is is after the powertrain. Need some interior bits, front seats, odds and ends if you aren't using it.

Property Line Conundrum - Anyone a Surveyor here?

I'll add to those that have said the satellite images/computer generated lines are obsoletely NOT official. They are close-ish to within whatever accuracy everything was put in. So basically useless. I have been down this road quite a while back with some apartments I built and a horrible...

Jeep JK Unlimited "Transformer" 6.2L "LS3" GM build

This was brought in for an engine/transmission/Transfer case makeover. 6.2L stroker, Manley super lightweight 4" crank, rods, flattops, etc. With GMPP cnc heads, probably polished. Same cam with lifter, pushrod, valve etc. upgrades. So, 6.8L, ported and polished, VVT cammed with a good tune...

Jeep JK Unlimited "Transformer" 6.2L "LS3" GM build

The HMMWV that I looked at used the return line from the transmission cooler. So, oil/oil using the transmission cooler. That's how I'll set it up.

Jeep JK Unlimited "Transformer" 6.2L "LS3" GM build

The AMG Case with SYE on it makes for an awesome setup and can be converted to allow the 2wd high but it does compromise the strength a little over the regular AMG 242. I chose to leave mine AWD for now. Hopefully it will save some wear on the rear tires. Here is my 242 complete less rear...

Jeep JK Unlimited "Transformer" 6.2L "LS3" GM build

Trying to get all the details ironed out. I was assembling the 9" drop out today along with the Transmission shifter. Progress is slow but happening. Lots of details. IT SURE SOUNDS GREAT THOUGH! The stock wheels are hitting the control arms and sway bars so they have to go. I am waiting for...

Jeep JK Unlimited "Transformer" 6.2L "LS3" GM build

IT LIVES!!! I fired the engine up for the first time and it sounds GREAT (especially with open headers), extremely responsive. It does have a slight noticeable idle because of the cam that I didn't expect. I was thinking that wouldn't be there because of the VVT and Comp Cams literature. I'll...

Jeep JK Unlimited "Transformer" 6.2L "LS3" GM build

Here's one from a bit ago of the engine bay showing the filter and water pump. The pump will be on the right frame rail. I needed to get the axle done to make sure that there was no interference at full bump.
