Taking the rears from a 85 runner and putting them up front, on an 85 runner . . .

Some guy wants to sell me a set of rear springs from an 85 4runner and says that he used them as front springs and got a 4" lift. Is this for real? Has anybody done it and how is the ride/flex? Thanks
