    8.1 Vortec YJ

I don't know what the part # is, and last I knew they didn't make them for 1410 stuff. So, I always used 1350. I'm sure you're aware they are the same cap. Also, IIRC you need to grind down the nut face on the back of the yoke to ensure the u-bolt is long enough to get the nuts all the way on...

    8.1 Vortec YJ

If you take the yoke off and mill the holes, they will work. I found out the hard way one time. I had the straps, broke a joint, and while it broke a strap, it also broke an ear in the yoke. So, I had to front dig all the way out, and have a new yoke brought down from Six States. Not a huge...

FWIW, I would recommend that you rid the rear yoke of the straps and bolts. Just drill it out and run u-bolts. They will save a bunch of hassle some day...

You should get a track bike. I rode at the new track 2 weekends ago, all I have to say is WOW!! :eek2: :eek2: It will be the nicest track I have ridden on. Compared to Laguna Seca, Willow Springs, Parumph, RFR, etc. It will rock!! Hope to see you out there.

Scool me on a old stock D60 with a 5 bolt hub

That is what YOU have to answer. Generally speaking If you have no $$$ a 14bolt is a better option. If $$$ is not as much of a problem, then weigh out your options. Remember... Junkyard= less expensive and generally readily available in ANY town. Custon= more $$$ and if you dont have...

Scool me on a old stock D60 with a 5 bolt hub

This is a good point Bob. The people that are searching this thread to base their own opinion need to realise what the benefits of a SF & FF axle are to them, adn their rig. I.E. Bob, is a very delicate wheeler. He is a finesse type of guy and has a very good looking Cj-7. I believe it has a...

    You work on Dirt Bikes?

It is actually a very easy repair job, and I would venture to say you are capable of doing this yourself. Most important part is the seal driver. Everything else should be a normal hand tool you would have laying around.

Scool me on a old stock D60 with a 5 bolt hub

It is hard to say with out knowing more, but here goes... It should NOT be stronger, due to the fact it is only a semi-float axle not a full float, with that said I am assuming that they are both 31 spline axles. I am not sure ( more informed folk will answer this part) if there was ever a 35...
