Wanting to upgrade the stock steering shaft in my 86 cj 7 with power steering. Is the Borgeson unit worth the cost over the Omix? Also what else should I replace since I’m in there like the column bearing? Steering box is new and on a heavy duty mount.

My friend was driving his 2011 F-350 with the 6.7 power stroke. It over heated and turned off. The dealer service just told him it was a rod bearing and will be around 15k to fix. Any advice I can give him would be great.
