02 1500 Silverado

Quick question as a new Chevy owner (last Chevy truck I owned was a 1948.)

With an 02 1500 extended cab, stock, what is largest tire that will fit trouble free? It currently has 265/75R16s, and I think orginally came with 245/75s.

Other info I have gathered points to 285/75R16 being largest.

What other makes rims are interchangable with the Chevys?

I think you might be able to squeeze 285 with some trimming up front. I installed a 2" lift for my bro to clear his. They use the 6 on 5.5 lug pattern chevy, toy, and nissan use the same pattern. Be careful with backspacing though
