What spline, 28 or 30?

Apparently they made a switch in '89 from 28 spline to 30 spline. I don't know what year my axles are, so I picked up a 28 spline long side last night, and I'm still looking for a 30 spline long side.

For '90 or '91 10-bolt? You'll save me a drive to Clearfield if you do.

I guess year doesn't matter...30 spline 10-bolt is what's important.

Turned out to be the spider gears. Anyone have a 10 bolt open diff from '90 or '91, or can tell me if the cross-shaft spiders are the same in the 28 and 30 spline version? (obviously the side gear spiders are different)
