Bryson, Carl +, Sami,Paul, Dennis Wood, Bob, Myself and My lady decided Saturday night that 1 degree air tempature was perfect wheeling weather. Someone else will have to tell you where we went beacuse I was just playing follow the leader. I have some pictures that will be up shortly. Plenty of stucks, the craziest snow drifts I have ever seen and Pual rolled a bead. All and all it was a fantastic evening and gorgeous out there.

Dennis and I were talking about that trip this morning....we both had a blast, but we were wondering why? When you talk about what we did, where we went, the weather--all of them sound like the makings of NOT a fun time.

It was really fun! :D:D

I seem to do these trips at least once a week. I was out doing the same thing Sunday morning  Excpet there was just the one vehicle....

You gotta love the drifts that look like dirt. The wind blows all the snow into a drift, then starts covering the drift with the dirt that was under the snow :)

That and all the roads that are dug down in so that even though they look level with everything around them the snow is really 3 feet deep... SURPRISE!

You'll have to harass Sami:tara: for the pics... I think he was the only one with a camera... Maybe Wood had a camera, but Carl would have to get those pics.

Anyways, we headed south from the Pony Express trailhead just off of hwy 73 near Fivemile pass, and drove to Black Rock canyon. We were all pretty surprised we made it over the top with the amount of fresh snow... good thing Wood has a Hemi! After exiting the canyon, the route was not quite as clear... Yeah, we drove around in the snow a lot, not sure where exactly we were, but that's probably why it was so much fun! After piddling around a bit with the snow drifts and stucks, we headed North on Allens Ranch road into Fairfield, and then back home.

Heck of a good time, and yes, we need to make these trips more of a regular occurrence.

Oh, and we found out that Bob is afraid of chocolate. Who knew?

And pics...

this was just a thread to let people know wheelin happened. no need to wait for pictures of the trip to report that it occurred ;)

Wish I could have made it. Maybe next time you'll give more than a couple hours notice.

That's Dennis out front stuck to his frame(on 37's for this trip), whilst attached to Bob's winch, who is attached to Dom's winch... Dom pulled Bob out, who pulled Dennis out.. ya

how can he be stuck to his frame if you can see light underneath the axles?

I thought someone might say that.. They'd been winching for a few minutes by the time I took this pic.. So Dennis had made some progress ;)
