14 Bolt help!

My 14 bolt is being a pain in the ASS!!! I cant seem to get my carrier out! I have tried everything and it only budges about a 1/4 in. Any ideas what might be going on with it

I'll try the obvious... Did you pull the shafts? Shafts will keep it in and only moving ~1/4"...

Shafts are out pinion is out and i have been trying everything from prying to beating. I just must be an idiot or something! Haha!!

I have had some tight housings. I have used a 8 foot chain wrapped around a broken shaft before- thus a huge slide hammer. But a differential spreader was the best

Turn the carrier adjusters out, that will release the carrier bearings, also you might want to read up before you damage it.

Very similar to a ford 9" all but the drop out center section.

I have had this problem. The carrier has to clear the end pinion bearing housing. So you will have to turn the adjusters on the left side out quite a bit then slighlty twist.

just remember how many turns you undo, we forgot to in my bronco's 9" and it took me for ever to re-adjust it
