14 bolt spare shafts

My son in law had a set of 14 bolt axle shafts that he was going to send to scrap. Do any of you guys carry spare shafts for 14 bolts or are they just extra weight that you will never use ?
I did grap these in case someone could use them.

I keep a spare set in the garage, just in case. Rule of spares: if you have them, you won't need them. If you don't, you will break in the worst, farthest, holiday-weekend, no one to hear you die spot ever invented, and rue the day.

Please scold the boy for scrapping fullsize parts without calling me first.
