Got some questions about 14 bolts...

1. Are all 14 bolt rears full floater? If not all, any?

2. For those that are full floaters, what lug patterns did they come in?

3. What vehicles are most likely to have 14 bolt FF rears?

4. What axle spline counts were available?

5. Did any of the FF come with disc brakes?

6. Who has a ff 14" housing with spindles, hubs and brakes they want to part with for cheap?

1. No not all are FF

2. 8 lug

3. 3/4T and up Chevys

4. FF-1.5" 30 spline (or is it 31 spline:confused: )...SF-33 spline I believe

5. Yes, I believe some of the later models have discs (but adding discs aftermarket is quite cheap and easy, bolt-on)

6. Did a couple months ago:D not now;)

See PNP thread. You should have your pic. Now you'll need at least one Shawn sized guy to help you haul that heavy B!TCH out of there.......if you could clone him, that would probably be recommended (at least 2 guys that size). I've got a 4.11 14 bolt (FF) if you run across a 4.56 geared one (or a rear D60 at 4.56) and you want to be 4.11, I'd be glad to swap you out.

another question, what is the shaft diameter of a 35 spline dana 60 axle? Andy from sixstates told me I should use 14" spindles if I want to convert my 60 to a higher spline count.
A 60 35 spline is 1.5". Most 60 rears will only have 30 spline shafts, that are smaller diameter than the 14 bolt 30 spliners. Sometimes to need to bore out 60 spindles to fit 30 spline shafts, or weld on 14 bolt spindles.

It just so hapens that I have a 14 bolt for sale that is full float, has disc brakes, has an 8 lug pattern, 30spline 1.5 inch shafts, and 4.56 gears. Looks like thats exactly what you looking for, when you want to pick it up??? ;)

yeah, you giving it away?? ;) I said cheap!!! (I'm building a 60 and I need the 14 bolt spindles (hubs, etc), so I don't want to be spending a lot of money on a housing that I'm going to junk).

are you saying that the 14 bolt and the 60 use the same R&P??

NOPE............{that would surprise me} I need a rear diff with 4.56 and if you wanted to run 4.11, I'd be glad to swap, straight across. I haven't bought a locker yet, so a 60 OR a 14 bolt would be fine with me
