Feeler for selling / trading my 1985 4Runner 4x4 Daily Driver / Rock Crawler. 22RE/5spd..
22RE with rebuilt W56 5spd, A/C, new clutch installed with trans swap, (approx 1 year ago) dual transfer cases, (2.28/2.28), front high pinion with ARB locker, Longfield hub gears and axles, V6 brake calipers (replaced approx 2.5 years ago) with drilled/slotted rotors, High Angle driveshaft's with CV's front and rear, rear axle with ARB locker and disc brakes, shaved center, Both axles have 5:29 gears. Centramatic wheel balancers with 37" Goodyear MTR's on 15x10 Eagle rims both in good shape. Custom soft top by "Killer Toy Tops". "A" pillar gauge pod with Autometer gauges. CB and 2meter (HAM) radio, Motor has a 94 upper plenum and throttle body, new TPS, & injectors, (approx. year ago). Stage 1 TRD cam. Motor has approx. 80k (guesstamate) Truck has 213k on it. Front firewall was moved back on driver and passenger side, rear wheel wells were cut and tubbed. I built a custom rear tire carrier to hold the 37" spare tire with 2 jerry can holders. Warn 8k winch.
This truck was driven to Cali, wheeled, and driven home. Drove to Utah, wheeled all over Sand Hollow, and driven home. It was a daily driver for 2 years, with no issues. This truck was built to go where you point it. You just have to have the balls to do it. It can take you to the store, or some of the hardest trails you want to drive. Numerous spare parts, and Puma onboard air compressor, I've had it approx. 6+ years and am thinking about getting back into classic cars. I would be interested in a possible trade for a clean good running 3rd gen 4x4 4Runner. (mid to late 90's). Or classic car. Let me know what you have.
