Unfortunately, the time has come to sell my 1987 4Runner. It is a good rig, with a lot of potential. It has about 225k on it, but many of the parts have been rebuilt or replaced. I am asking $1,800.

Engine: 22RE, which was rebuilt by the previous owner about 20,000 miles ago. It runs well.
Transmission: 5-speed
Transfer Case: stock Toyota top-shift case
Rear axle: Toyota mini-truck axle with Toyota e-locker and 5.29 gears
Front axle: Stock IFS, but with 5.29 gears to match the front
Tires: 35" BFG MTs
Suspension: OME springs in the rear with one leaf removed. Stock front suspension. DT8000 shocks.
Extras: Front fiberglass fenders that allow for larger tires, Cobra 75wx CB, extra set of 245/75/r16 tires mounted on Tacoma wheels for street use, custom tube bumpers front and rear

$1,800

How is the rust?
AC?
Power Windows?
Does the rear window work?
Does the top leak?
Thanks!!

It has some surface rust in spots, but nothing rotting through the body. The body is solid and in good condition for a 25 year old vehicle.

It has AC, but it could probably use a recharge, when temperatures are above 90, it has a hard time keeping the occupants cool.

It has power windows that work. Also power locks. It also has one power mirror and one manual mirror.

The rear power window works.

I've never noticed any leaks in the top.

Thanks for the interest.

:-/ If I only had an extra 1800 laying around, although I think my neighbors would kill me if I had 4 1st gen 4runners in the driveway
