Dose anybody know about replacing hub bearings in the front axel of a F350? I have heard that you can replace the needle bearings that are the main problem with out replacing the whole hub. I have been told that there is a NAPA Bearing that fits, but can not confirm it in all the searching i have done on different web sites. dose anybody know anything about this? Just my last gasp before i bite the bills and pay for new bearing sets

The front wheel bearings are not needle bearings, and are also not serviceable. The only bearing that is a needle bearing is where the axle shaft goes through the spindle.
What "problem" are you referring to?

They are not servicable, no matter what you heard. People have been trying ever since they came out. Just buy the assemblies

You have to replace the whole hub, (the bearings are not serviceable or replaceable, like they said.) Luckily your truck was made after May of 1999. (before May of 1999 they cost twice as much. Go ahead, ask me how I know... I had to replace mine (made in february of 1999) a few weeks ago.. $600)

I would recommend buying a quality replacement bearing while you're at it if you plan to keep the truck for awhile. I have seen very scary things happen to cheap lifetime warranted bearings :ugh:

Thanks for all the info. I was talking about the needle bearing in the spindle. just hoping that is the problem. Where is a good place to get good quality bearings?. I tow a mini X and dump trailer rolling 22000. lbs. Timken? Napa? Frank Edwards?
