2001 4Runner...how to tell if it has E locker?

Look at the rear Axle Brett, is there or is there not an Elocker obviously mounted on the side of the 3rd? :brett:

For the style of 4Runner I like, I'm not going to find much better than that. '01 is as new as they get in this body.155k on a Toyota isn't really that bad.

FWIW my 99' Tacoma has 176k on it and runs like a champ!! If it's clean and you like it I wouldn't hesitate!

The 01 and 02 4runners didn't come with the elocker. They have the center diff lock button.

2000 was the last year for the elocker in the 3rd gens.

where are you getting your information?
if i am correct 3rd gen 4runners were never ALL wheel drive, thus not having a center diff, nor needing a center diff lock, and since 96 in the US it has been an option for a rear locker every year in the 4 runner/tacoma
