SOLD!

255k miles
Short Bed Quad Cab
New (not rebuilt) VP44 at 215k
No real leaks (common t-case tail-shaft seep if you park on a hill, common crankshaft vent oil/dust on the lower engine)
Newer OEM 17" wheels
Matching bed shell (will separate, make offer?)
Never chipped... but I do have the gauges. Probably why the original vp44 lasted so long!

She's not flawless, it's a Dodge... but it tows well and gets the job done.
Minor rust on the tailgate and lower passenger door.
Rear bumper has a few dings from the trailer.
I have a set of new balljoints for the driver side when they wear out. Already replaced the passenger. So far so good.
New trackbar at ~250k miles
Window has a small crack, but still passed inspection
The truck passed inspection just this last June with no issues.

Other Minor issues:
Driver seat is a little worn on the side, but it's actually no different from when I bought it in 2003.
Dashboard has some cracks.
Passenger window switch doesn't work (hasn't since I bought it in 2003... I just never replaced it)
There's a sunglasses holder on the ceiling that has a broken tab so it doesn't close all the way.
Comes with a really crappy cd player, but I also have the OEM cd deck to go back in if needed.

The only thing currently wrong is that it needs a new governor pressure solenoid in the transmission. When I have the time to replace that the price will go up a little. Fixed!

EDIT: The tires are probably 25% tread? They have a wear pattern on the outside because of a crappy trackbar over 3 years but that bar was replaced 1 year ago and the alignment has stayed true.

Books for ~$11k
Looking for $8k which is trade in value. Title in hand. Cash only no trades (unless it's a 4 door tacoma, cough... Von)

If you have questions - ask. It's actually dirty in the photos so most of the spots on the lower door panels will wash off, I didn't have time to clean it between rainstorms. :o I just wanted to show the slight rust on that door.

I'll make the standard offer of two cases of Mountain Dew and a jar of pickles?

Nice ride wish I had the cash, kinda what I'm looking to get into once the money is around

You are currently using this for your daily driver right?

How is the transmission doing? Besides the solenoid is it shifting tight?

Yes and yes, it's shifting tight and good. The solenoid is causing some bucking/shift wondering at certain speeds. I'm going to have it fixed this weekend and I'll tighten the bands all up while I'm in there as it's been about 6 years.

Cant tell from the picture but is this a long bed?

I think it is a short bed

Yes it is a short bed, sorry!

Replaced the governor pressure sensor and transducer yesterday as well as tightened up the bands (they were already close). New filter & fluid.
She's shifting awesome and hooks up freaking nicely again. No more gear wondering.

I'll keep the price the same. $8k.

Man I loved my 01 Cummins shoulda never sold it. I wish I was in a position where I could offer you some cash. GLWS price seems right for a great truck.

You forgot the swift kick in the jimmy.

That is a nice truck, Herzog. You wouldn't wanna trade down to a '01 F150 Supercrew, would ya? It's got a nice shiny bumper. :D

I updated the original post with some minor issues that I could think about while going through it the other day.

What does this governor pressure sensor do? My son-in-law has an 06 Cummins crew cab that he can't get to go over 40 mph over Trappers Loop pulling a horse trailer with 3 horses in it. He is convinced that he should be able to fly over it. His uncle has a stock 2012 GMC Dually Diesel that pulls the same trailer and horses at 75 up Trappers. Could this be part of the problem? With "GOVERNOR" in the name it makes me wonder.

It just manages (governs) the fluid pressure in the transmission. There are a few solenoids in there that can stick or go bad causing strange transmission issues and lack of power.
