So my son-in-law just picked up a 2006 Dodge Cummins. I threatened to disown him if he did it but he knew deep down inside that I didnt want my daughter back so he did it anyway.
It has 150K miles on the ticker but has a couple of minor issues. He paid $12K for it which I think is a good buy.
It has a flat bed. He wants to find a short bed for it eventually but he has a little cowboy in him and he is beginning to like the flatbed. It does have a hidaway 5th wheel hitch on the flatbed but that seems a little too far back to me because its behind the axle but I dont know much about those hitches anyway. Previous owner was a welder so it has some brackets welded to it that secured tanks and equipment so that all needs to be cut off. The interior isnt bad but needs a good douching. The driver's side cushion is messed up like every other Dodge I have seen.
It passed emissions and inspection without any issues so thats good. It seems to drive well and he is excited to have it and with what he paid, I think he is in it alright. The good thing is he is a saver. He was able to almost pay cash for it.
What it needs: (If any of you have any of these things for sale, let me know)
A normal trailer hitch.
trailer plug at the bumper.
One driving light in the front bumper is out.
Possibly a short bed.
