My buddy has 2006 toyota tundra and he has put a 1.5 in the back and a 2.5 in lift in the front. He is having some rubbing on the upper control arms on both sides when he is turning sharp. The tire size is 285/70/17. The wheels are stock limited tundra. (17/9)???. Any ideas on how to fix this.

Well, there is little doubt that the forces introduced to the knuckle/spindle are increased with a wheel spacer, however I don't think the increase forces necissarily equate to premature failure in relative situations. Example, the wheel bearings on the Tundra might last 150k with stock wheels, so mabey with the wheel spacers they last 120k... increased wear, sure... Unacceptable, I don't think so. The cost of having a lift :D
