I am probably going to purchase a 2007 1500 Suburban. (replace my 2000 2500 6.0L which is going up for sale)

I have a couple of questions for you. First I hate how low they sit. Any recommendations on an inexpensive 3.5-4" lift (probably coil spacers in rear) that will work well for 90% on road use with camping duties once in a while. I have a duramax for serious towing but I may put airbags on this later.

Second, I hate the front bumpers on them All plastic, hang way down. Any one know of a good replacement? Winch mount is not needed on this one. Is there a good way to modify the stock bumper to look good, and increase clearance? It may look all right with the lift.

I want to run a 32-33" equivalent on an 18" rim.

Any suggestions?

I have a crawler, this is for my wife and to haul our many children!

Thanks for the replies. Picking it up today, I will do more research on the leveling kits. It's tough to find a front bumper that isn't pretty extreme and sticks out pretty far.
