Huh, I like that a lot more than I thought I would. Is that IFS under there though?

My guess is it does since the two door version does. I am interested in all the rumors about a Hemi and/or a CRD diesel motor. I would also like to know the wheel base and if it comes in the Rubicon model.

What I've read says there are dual D44's under the new 2007 Rubicon (nothing new here), but they are now 5" wider than before, in addition to being a 32 spline axle! So much for the existing aftermarket upgrades, but a 32 spline axle sounds good! Also, I heard that the front is a high pinion now. At first I didn't like it at all, but it is growing on me. I noticed the fenders are all plastic, I wonder what it looks like when you take them off? :D

The june issue of 4 wheel offroad should be in your mialboxes when you all get home. It's got a decent 2 pager on this.:)
So... Solid axles front and rear??? I like it too. I'd trade my TJ in for one, 'cept then I'd have to pay money. :ugh: 32 spline 44s front and rear with a high-pinion front would be awesome. May even drive the price down on "old style" Rubicon axles. :)

116 is pretty long. My unlimited it seems like is only 104. It hangs up in the middle constantly when I wheel. A foot longer wheel base means you would have to have a flat tummy on it and 37 to wheel it I would think. Opinions anyone? What does a pickup truck have and/or a Grand Cherokee for comparison.

Wheel base on my Montero Sport is, I think, about 107, but a similar overall length to the 4-door Wrangler. I agree 116 seems awfully long.

Well, they are trying to cater to the 'SUV/mall crawler crowd'... Why else would they have power and plastic everything? ;)

what is wrong with power and plastic. power windows and locks are not considered a luxury in my opinion. and plastic is a lot easier to remove or trim on a leased jeep that you want to put 37's on.:greg:

hmmm, I like it more than my wife's 05 Grand, maybe I could talk her into trading in her Grand for it :p

Must admit, if and when I have kids I would totaly want one. It will be so much easier than squishing them into my wranlger, especially since the day i get rid of it may be the death of me

I'm referring to the plastic parts in the passenger compartment, not body panels... Boy, that makes it sound well built, don't it?
