So, that was cool, even if only 4 people showed up and dinner was $22 a head. It was good!

Just kidding. Lots of people showed up! Jason and Dominic warped down from Delta in time for chicken and brats, BFE Jeremy showed up, Bobmed appeared mysteriously as usual, hell, even Greg and the elusive Catherine showed up! With the awesome-sounding RME Wrangler, I might add...

I'm going to forget a few people, so I apologize in advance, but here's who I remember right now:

Greg and Catherine
Shawn, Alayna (sp?) and their kids
GIJohn and Sue
Benjy and Cammy the Hawaiian princess :D
Meat_
Bobmed
Hickey and Lory
Shannon from Michigan and his family
Ryan whose screename I can't remember... "Tweaker"
That guy with Ryan, whose name I can't remember either!
Greenjeep and the lovely Danielle
Chris, Tara, and kids.. and "dogs"
Shane, Amy and Caulen
I think Shane's dad was there?
Tanner, Shondra (sp?) and their kids
Mike and Julene Judd and their kids
Matt from Queens and Angie
That Jersey Kid Brian and his buddy, who has to go back, I feel for him!
Jeremy Parriot
Mudflap
Dominic, whose car is like, seriously the most badass VW Bug in the universe... or something
Summit Jimmy, aka Billy Corgan

there were more people there, but I can't focus! Sorry if I forgot you!

I had a great time, thanks to GIJohn and his rear locker. The food was good, the company was EXCELLENT, and the weather finally warmed up enough to feel nice. Looking forward to next year already!!!

So here's some pics.... They're clickable

Here's the line heading up to the fee station.. weather was a little crisp at times, but nice, and besides... MOAB!!!

Lemon Joy in front of us, heading towards paradise...

Little drop shot for those who haven't been... lots of steep little ups and downs, but it's slickrock so no worries.

Lemon Joy again, in a picturesque scene...

Billy Corgan's Summit-graphic'ed JK is bad-ass! And it works pretty good too!

This is Herzog, who loves having his picture taken. Thank him when you see him for the awesomeness of the RME website. :D

Shawn on Hell's Gate... I was pleasantly surprised by how long, and steep, this obstacle is in reality. I've only seen Hell's Revenge on video, like most of the trails in Moab.

...and again...

Here's a good shot of how steep the top of Hell's Gate is. Yikes.

Tanner's killer buggy. I love the low profile of this thing, and the stance is great too. That it's a backyard build is even sweeter. There's a thread on here about it somewhere.

Here's my view up one of the little bumps along the way. CJ-7's are really exciting when you're used to Suburbans and dually crew cabs!!!

Chris couldn't get out of this one... Iroks suck. :D

DSC02326 (Medium).JPG

This is... Mickey's??? It's frickin' tall. And really, really steep.

DSC02307 (Medium).JPG

Shawn thinks it's pretty steep now too. :D

DSC02302 (Medium).JPG

Escalator is pretty damn steep too! And longer than it looks. Tara was so excited that Chris was up here. I tried to calm her down but she was just super-psyched. :tara:

This little drop was on top of a largish cliff, right near the end of the trail... This is the nice, fun way to go down.....

DSC02396 (Medium).JPG

.... and this is the screaming-bloody-murder-oh-my-god-we're-going-to-roll way. Meat was riding shotgun here with Sue, and very, very calm. If you have a bomb strapped to you, you want Meat talking you through disarming it. :D

And finally, here's a shot of the end of the trail. Pretty, pretty. I want to go back... NOW

Mickey's is the one that Chris couldn't get out of.

Awesome day, well worth being up for 24 hours

Great turn out, fun day on the trail, 3 women drivers showing up the men (baja Danielle, cool and collected Kammi and yes even the open axled Sue), tasty BBQ and it ended as any day should, with good friends around a campfire. :D

I'll post some pics and vid later

Damn it..... looks like I missed a great time I will have to reserve memorial weekend for next years trip. I didn't have the heart to tell my mom I was going to Moab instead of her house.:ugh: For what its worth the weather in St.George was crappy too.:(

It was good seeing everyone again, I even met a few new people! The turnout for the BBQ was great, I enjoyed hanging out with a great group of people we have here. It was totally relaxed, everyone was just hanging out BS'ing and having a good time. The food was excellent, nice work Chris & Tara! Also thanks to Jeremy Parriott for bringing his grill.

I wish I could have made the trail run on Hells Revenge, looks like it was a hoot!

Had a great time!!!

We got to run the new trail in BFE (Lock Jaw) which I thought was a blast... and it perfectly combines with going upward on Green Day. Sorry I was lagging behind that day. :D

The Dimicks & I ended up running Helldorado behind Kelly and his crew. Tanner freaking drove the waterfall on his first try! I couldn't believe it. I happened so fast that I didn't even have my camera turned on for video. Next time I guess.

How was the trail this morning? Sorry we missed it. :(

The weather was almost perfect in Moab, a little bit less wind would have been nice.
