2013 Pickups

I need a new truck for both work and pleasure....
I've looked at all of them and test drove as well, here's my first impressions. I'll stick with Con's being that they all have plenty of Pro's.

Also, I'm looking at light paint (white or silver), light interior (tan or gray), long bed (srw preferred, drw okay too), loaded (Laramie, Lariat, LTZ), diesel, quad cab

Chevy/GMC
-Hood... Looks tough but is actually annoyingly large while in the driver seat.
-IFS... I want a little lift and 35's, much more expensive with IFS.
-DEF tank hangs lower than the frame, looks stupid and is likely vulnerable to damage.

Dodge (Ram)
-Transmission... All 3 that I've test driven have had the 68rfe and they shift very weird... Slow and almost 'searchy' on every shift. Not sure if the Aisin is better
-Interior... It's super nice but very busy compared to the others... Would take getting used to
-Turbo lag... Slowest spool up of the all for sure
-First year of DEF for them, not sure i wanna be the guinea pig

Ford
-It's a Ford
-Every Ford salesman I've dealt with so far is an asshat... Definitely not helping their product
-A previous employer ran an all Ford fleet... They take a beating but have all had regen/SCR issues
-Steering... Way too light for a truck, has trouble returning to center
-Turn signal... I don't like the tap/hold feature

Well, who's driving 2013's? What are your impressions after owning and driving for a while?

As far as the Ford turn signal it takes sometime but I ended up really liking it. You don't have to hold, you just tap for a lane change and depress all the way for a normal signal. It just always returns to center. I loved my F150 if I could afford it and my JK I would have both. Me personally I haven't liked a GM product for most of a decade, I used to be a chevy guy but they lost me in recent years. Same with dodge, I love the looks of the new dodges but, the interior room/fit and finish just doesn't come close to the others.

Dodge has actually been using DEF for years on their 4500 and 5500 trucks as well as the 3500 cab & chassis models. Because the Cummins burned cleaner than other diesel engines, they didn't need to have DEF on their 'regular' 2500 and 3500 models until 2013 (thanks to changing government regulations).

FYI

FWIW, the company I work for used to run all Fords in their fleet, anything from 3/4 ton to 5500's etc... we have recently started swithcing to dodges for all our 3/4 ton trucks and up and the mechanics are much nicer folks to be around now. I dont mind the new dodge interiors btw

Good to know... I've actually been looking at there c&c trucks... Cheaper and I can throw a nice aluminum flatbed on it which would be nice for work.

Pretty much have the GM ruled out, down to Ford or Ram.

I just bought my truck back in Jan. Although its not a 2013 I did look at them while shopping. I liked the ford fit and finish alot better. Though I dont care for the new for 2013 dash design I preferred the 2011 and 2012. I also thought the ford had more power by my seat of the pants dyno. Are you only considering new?
