21 Road on Saturday

I made it out to 21 Road today with a couple guys from CO4x4 today. Here's a rundown...


I met up with TracYJ (Tracy) and bluexj (Jason) on Saturday morning for a run up 21 Road. With the recent rains, there were many puddles & plenty of soft sandy holes. On the bigger obstacles the water played a part in weather or not we'd crawl right up. Each had at least one time hooked to either a winch or a strap, giving just enough of a tug to pull us over the rocks.

One of the first trouble spots had mud that eventually turned to a concrete-like consistancy. Carnage for the day was limited to Jason & I, we both flattened 2 tires & also both lost some blinker lenses... :rolleyes:

I took pics, but for some reason I got none of my pile... so here's the pics of Tracy & Jason.

Yeah you do. :D 21 Road is cool, lots of boulder crawling. Let me know when you're coming out & I'll try to run it with ya. I can't make any promises, because I work every other weekend.

If you're up for some real abuse & 21 Road isn't enough for ya, look into Billings Canyon.

Give it another month & it'll be decent temps. It was kind of cloudy when we ran 21 Road, but it got hot & sticky by noon.

Looks like you might have to sort out Billings with your dear hubby. :hickey:
