I went by the book and set them at 58lbs in three steps using a felpro headgasket,put the motor all together,fired it up,run the motor to break the cam in,looked for leak's found none externally,but the damn head didn't seal and yes the surfaces were clean.I got antifreeze in the oil,and antifreeze on my #4 plug.
Now i've heard people torquing these down from 58-80lb's what's the best number to go by,and can I put the head on with the intake attached?I'm really not looking to tearing it back apart again
