How do 3-Link suspensions handle at speed through whoopty-do's, compared to triangulated 4-link suspensions?

I assume you are talking about running an upper wishbone?
Jimco is using them in their Trophy Trucks.

I have this same question but 3 link with a panhard . I've been told they can do just as good.

I'd think the pan hard would throw the rig side to side

They're used on many many KOH cars. They can handle very well if set up properly. You want to make your Panhard bar as long as you can and get it as flat as you can and even get it to lay negative as in the axle side a bit higher than the frame side at ride height. I have a 3 link with panhard and it works great. No complaints here.

3-links do work great but a 4-link will track much better at higher speeds mostly do the fact you dont have a track bar pulling the axle side to side. If you have the track bar as flat as possible it helps but as much travel as most ultra 4 cars are getting now (over 20 inches of travel) the axle is going to move a substantial amount under full droop to the one side.

Isn't Shannon Campbell running a 3 link rear?

Im not too familiar with shannons rig but i do know that it is a rear engine and they might have gone with a 3-link for packaging reasons and its just simpler and the campbells always have stuck with simple and it works for them.....But with that said it just goes to show you both set-ups will work very well if put together correctly

He has. 3 link for packaging reasons .. His upper link is right about where my passenger sits..

He also has ifs up front to make up it.. And a few hundred more horse than me.. And most of the competition..

At the American rock sport challenge he was behind Casey, they took down the yellow flag.. Both racers steped on it.. It was like beach was standing still, and caseys is freaking fast!

james and i have been pouring over 3 link and 4 link desgins for both our rigs like most have said it depends if you set it up right but isnt everything on a rig that way?
