I have been rebuilding a 307 SBC from carb to tbi. I pulled a tbi and intake from a 88 chevy truck to put on top. All of the intake bolts line up with the exeption of the center two on each side. I believe I heard that you can drill these out? Not sure if you can as this is my first build of this nature. Hoping someone might be able to help me. You can call if it gets to indepth.

Do a search on thirdgen.org. They seem to know a lot about converting every injection to whatever head. Just like everywhere, though, there are people that know and people that want to be ebadassess and tell you that they know. Read a few threads. You'll become the master.

I think you can just drill/tap the required holes.

LOL this keeps coming up! weird. I guess the universe works in streaks.

You have to hog out the center holes. The angles of the bolts are different between the old heads and the center-bolt heads. Just enlarge them, and use some RTV.

I had to do the same swap, and that's what happened. :D

I have done this also. Its no big deal to enlarge the holes, and was mentioned earlier in this thread, the angle of the bolts are different than the others. You can modify the manifold so that the washers will sit flat on the manifold. My manifold was aluminum so it went pretty fast. Dont be scared! Its easy!
