351W/C6 in a Tacoma???

Like I mentioned in a previous post, I am going to build a Taco crawler after the shop is built.
I am currently parting out my Bronco, and I am trying to brain storm what I should keep, and what to sell.
I currently have the 351w and it is in great condition, so I really want to incorporate that. The C6 I can pick up anywhere dirt cheap.

I have never looked under the hood of a Taco, so this is for the purest, but do you think that a 351w attached to a C6 tranni would ever work in a Taco?

I havent decided what t-case to use yet, if I have a low budget it will get a Manual BW1356, if I save a little longer I will get the Atlas.

My first intention is to get the extended cab Taco, but if I have to get the 4 door in order to have the frame length then thats possible.

I dunno, just thought I would throw it out there and hopefully not get made fun of to hard:rofl:

It would be an extremely tight fit, if it fits at all. I think you would be far ahead leaving the V6, adding a supercharger if you think you need more power. There are quite a few starting to use the 3.4l in buggy applications as they are an extremely reliable and high output motor.

The Toy auto isn't a C6, but they are decent, mate it to a Atlas or Toybox and you would have a great crawl ratio too.

The 351w is not a small motor....Like Kurt said, if it fits, it will be tight....also oil pan clearance will become an issue. As for the C6, I would say no go on that....the C6 is bulky! bell housing vs firewall/floor will be a huge issue. You would have to mount the drivetrain very low, and modify lots-o-sheetmetal....Making the motor fitment even more of a PITA.
Also, the C6 sucks a lot of your power. It is strong, but not effecient. If you must use the 351, look at getting a built c4, it would fit much better....
