3rd Gen Four runner Alarm Issues

i was pulling down the road the other day when my alarm started going off. I unhooked my battery anf thought that would work but it didn't. i don't have keyless entry or anything like that. I've tried looking for a reset but am unable to find one. The only thing that I have done is pulled a fuse out so my horn will stop honking. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. also it make a noise now like the buzzing when the door is open. I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone or if anyone knows how to fix this problem.

Also I forgot to add that it will not let me start the truck unless I have the horn fuse pulled and the acc fuse pulled under the hood. Any ideas?

Is it the factory alarm?

On my 96 I had a little grey switch tucked up on the left hand side on the drivers foot well. If the alarm went off you had the flip the switch a couple of times while turn the key to the off/on position at the same time to get it to turn off.

Yeah it's the factoy alarm, I have searched all over for the reset switch/button, I can;t find anything.

Any aftermarket electrical stuff? If so, I'd start there.

Call the dealer and give them your VIN and they should be able to tell you if its equipped with keyless entry and an alarm from the factory. If it is, then you'll need to buy the proper factory keyless entry remote, program it into the receiver, then deactivate it by hitting the unlock button. I can sell you the remote and program it if you need it.

in my Ford, I had the same problem. I think somebody else's keyless fob activated it or something and I couldn't get it to stop going off. I had to go home and put a battery in my old fob and it deactivated it.

I called the dealer and they said it was not equipped with a keyless entry.. Any other ideas
