I am bringing a big load of stuff, and everyone should bring all that stuff you have in the garage that is not doing you any good, sell it or trade for stuff you want. It only makes sense. Also a good chance to show off that rig you built.
Plus two trails the next day. I am hoping to make this an annual event that everyone looks forward to.

I thought you were looking kind of sick that weekend...cough...cough.

Darn, I was hoping you could make it. Gonna be good!

I wish I could, at that point I'll be in Yuma... about a 12 hr drive. :-\

Perhaps I'll come down with an eye problem that weekend... I can't see myself coming into work!

Swap meet spaces are free plus free admission. I am looking for commercial vendors, must be automotive/ off highway related. Small fee to help cover expenses. See flyer for details, or call that number. Jeep club is non profit, but we don't want to come up too far in the negative numbers either.

Also looking for other non profits who want booth space, clubs, good causes etc... related theme, free space.

Thanks.

Jeff,

I went to that event two years in a row. The first year I had my Jeepster and Cherokee there. The second year I was heading home on a landscaping run in my beater 84 Toy Truck and I saw you guys out there. I parked out by your show and shine, complete with a full load of goat dung and a shovel in the back of my truck. I didn't win a prize unfortunately .

Maybe I will bring my new rig this year and we can have a Monster Garage build up. Any one up for a Solid Axle Swap in the parking lot???

I hope to be able to join your group for a trial ride this summer.

Kevin

Look for a much bigger show this year. Other offroad clubs from surrounding countys are already planning to attend. We have the west side of the fairgrounds, so we will have plenty of space. I have some vendors onboard now as well. I expect an even bigger show a year later. I plan on bringing a ton of stuff to the swap meet this year. I will see you there. (Trails the next day.)

More info:
This is just a note to let you know about the Offroad Show coming to Grand Junction, Colorado. Brought to you by the Grand Mesa Jeep Club, this event will become the “must attend” event on the western slope.
We plan on a huge swap meet. Anything automotive, or OHV related. Free swap meet space.
Also a “ Show and Shine”. Not really just an offroad car show. Bring what ever rig you want to show. Rock rigs, trail rigs, restored Jeeps, antiques, 4x4s, buggies atvs, motorcycles. You don’t even have to wash it first, if you don’t want to. It is a great time to show everybody what you have been working on. There will be killer custom trophies.
The show is free to enter and admission to the event is also free.
Vendor space is available. ( the difference between a vendor, and a swap meeter, is that a vendor has things to sell throughout the year, probably has a business license, may also be trying to sell services as well.) We expect car dealerships, new and used, motorcycle shops, offroad and 4x4 shops, manufacturers, representatives, and services related to the offroad enthusiasts. Just give us a call.
We will offer free space to non profit organizations. This includes other clubs, land access organizations, interested government entities, just give us a call.
We have some other things in the works for the day as well. We are still working on these at this point and will announce these as they are more solid.
Yes, we have had show and shines, and swap meets in the past. We expect this event to far surpass the old event. We are moving to a bigger , public venue, and are starting to work on it earlier. We are pushing to involve all other trail users. This should be a great opportunity for all of us to get together for a day of fun. We expect this event to grow over the next few years into something really spectacular.
We are also working on 2 trail runs for the following day, So stay for the weekend.
We hope to release the names for some reduced rate motels for the event soon. There is also some camping , not too far away.

Mark your calendar. June 21st at the Mesa County Fairgrounds, set up is early! We open to the public at 9:00 am, trophies at 4:00 pm.
