536 Miles of Dirt...

We did hit pavement twice for fuel at Baker and Enterprise. 24 miles of pavement, altogether.

The possible route variations to do this trip are endless though. You could make it a lot shorter and faster (but boring), or a lot longer and avoid even most of that 24 miles of pavement, but that would take at least another whole day.

I do intend to post a couple pics here, I just came home and got slammed at work this week
I must say though, I was in school the whole time being around Dave, be it navigating, wheeling, or camping.

Hi, I signed up because of this thread!

I've got a 4x4 van that I would love to take on a trip like this (with my girl and our dogs). Would June 14-17 work for anybody? I'd like to do the more desolate trails. We will tow our trailer for spare fuel, water, and dog food for the Great Dane. (lol)

This is our set up...

I love that you need a trailer to bring enough dog food ha ha! That trip does sound amazing. I'm all scheduled out for a bit but I'd hit it up with you later in the year

I joined the forum just for this thread and so I could download the kmz file. Major thread resurrection I know.

Anyway, great pics! There is a very good chance I will be doing this trip this year.

I was thinking of doing this trip this spring/summer. I took the kmz and created a quick map using mymaps.google. I tried to identify all of the points of interest from the pictures (and added a few in there).

Thought it might be useful for anyone else who wanted to do this, although some people would probably rather just explore and find things on their own!

Kevin and I were going to do this trip last month, we elected to delay it due to the extreme soggy weather at the time. I'd still love to get it done.

Yeah, but I still want to longerize it. Go from corner to corner.
