Does anyone know where I could get a 5th wheel hitch for a short bed 06 Dodge 2500. I now have one that you have to manualy move and want one that is automatic.

Thanks, they had the best price for a new one but I am wanting something that may have to be used to meet my budget. We are planning a 2 month trip of 7000 miles thru Canada and Eastern US and don't want any backing problems. I guess KSL and the internet are my next steps. Thanks again.

I was just about to say, KSL, craigslist, Ebay (my last choice heh)

Good luck, I'll keep an eye out here.. lots of 5th wheels around.

Hmm, wonder if you could have someone modify your existing hitch(?)

My dad has a couple 5th wheel hitches that he want's to sell. One is an older pinch style and is hard to move. The other is a 4 pin hitch that slides into position easy.

I don't know what you mean by automatically move (I don't know much about 5th wheel hitches) but I can take some photos of it this weekend.

Thanks but the hitch will have to be a PullRite 15k Sliding Hitch #2700 or better to do what I want. It automatically slides back when making a turn so the cab and trailer don't kiss.

Since I am Scottish, Mormon, and Jewish turning loose of the money (about $1K) is hard to do so I may just stick with the manual hitch I have and cross my fingers on tight turns. Speaking of tight???
