70's Scout Dana 44 U-Joint Question?

I have a 1995 Jeep Wrangler which has the SYE Kit and extended CV Driveshaft... I am pulling out the Dana 35 and hooking up a Dana 44 which came out of a 70's Scout (not sure on year... Sorry) The question is will I need to modify my driveshaft to fit a bigger u-joint? Do you guys know what u-joint the 44 takes or any kits that might be cheaper...

If I do need to change the driveshaft, do you think it would be cheaper to change the yoke instead?

The bigger the U-joint the better right, so would it be dumb to downsize the u-joint and modify the yoke instead... Thanks guys!

It should be a 1310 on the Scout. Unsure what your rig has now though. Also remember that the Scout 44 of that vintage has zero castor. If you plan to rotate the knuckles, cool it not, you might want to address this some other way (shims, etc.)

up, should be 1310 unless it was previously modified...

Bones, as far as I know, rear ends don't use caster unless they are rear steer:D:D:D

Thanks for the info bones... I do have a front one, but since the pumpkin is on the wrong side and no use to me... My brother tore it apart and used the gears and locker to beef up a waggy axle and turned around and sold that. So I have a gutted front Scout 44 as well! :D

Caleb... Do you know if the 1310 will work in my driveshaft or do I need to modify the driveshaft or the yoke? What would u suggest?

Thanks!

you should have 1310s...you shouldn't need to modify anything...if by chance you have a 1330 in your driveshaft I would upgrade the pinion yoke to a larger one...but I bet it will just bolt in (length may need to be addressed)
