My friend has a 92 Bronco and he wants to put a 9 inch in the rear but he isnt sure how to set up his ABS sensor cause for some reason the sensor controls the speedometer and the shifting in the trans. He broke one time before and the truck went whacko over a 5 dollar part. I have seen his year broncos with 9 in in the rear so if anyone can help it would be nice thanks

There was something on Pirate awhile ago. Something about some transfercases being able to suport a speed sensor and some not.

Problem with a 9" is there is no provision for a tone ring on the carrier, and even with machine work, there is case interferance.

I would suggest either having currie work their magic (35 spline/spool/thick tubes/truss) on the 8.8 or build a 60.

Charles at RMA could but 9" bearing pockets on your 8.8, then order custom shafts and you should be good. (your 8.8 should be 31 spline).

why do they torture us with such retarded parts?!? WHY DETROIT MUST YOU TURTURE US THUSSLY????

I was going to tell you to ditch the ABS altogether but if they use it as a VSS (vehicle speed sensor), you cant really do that. I pulled the entire actuator from my 91 explorer, but left the sensor on the diff. I never missed it.
