96 xj motor into a 93 xj question

I just finished with installing a 96xj’s I6 4.0L motor into my 93 xj. There were a few differences that I had questions on.
1. The picture I added shows the wire harness where the battery connects into the fuse box. The 96 wire harness (I left on the motor has 1 connector port my middle finger is touching) the 93 wire harness has the 2 connectors (my index finger is touching). Is it going to matter that the 96 only has one connection? If it does I was going to splice in a two hole connector but don’t know where to get some. I checked AutoZone, radio shack, and car audio. Any ideas as to where I could get one?
2. My second question is for the core heater sensor on the back of the block (driver side top). I also left the 96 and connected the 93 wiring to it. I know there is a difference from the renex to the OBDI.is there another difference between the OBDI and OBDII?

If I were doing your swap I would use the 93 engine harness on the 96 engine so that it matches the 93 engine compartment harness. On my scrambler I used a 93 harness on a 99 TJ motor and it worked out great. The sensor on the back of the head on a 91-95 is used to run the temp gauge. The temp sensor in the thermostat housing is for the computer. On an OBD2 setup they only use the one in the thermostat housing and the computer runs the gauges. A renix uses the rear sensor for the gauge and the computer sensor is in the block.
