98 12 valve CTD Dodge, automatic.

When I'm on the brakes witht he truck stopped, it dosn't want to steer. I'm on 33"s on 16.5"x9.75" wheels that are pretty wide, but it did fine till recently.
Do I need to replace the pump or is there some type of overdrive pully I can get that will provide some extra pressure? I can throttle it a little bit and get steering back, but this can be a real pain in the butt.

Suggestions?

Your '98 CTD's PS pump is driven directly from the back of the vacuum pump which is gear driven off the front of engine, so there is no pulley to change. Second, your PS pump has two jobs, it provides hydraulic pressure to both your power steering box and to the hydro boost brakes. So the brakes and steering are related.

When you're stopped, and not on the brakes, can you steer? Have you checked the fluid level in the pump?
